Press Release: Unveiling the Inaugural Golden Victor Awards: A New Era in Mental Wellness Advocacy for our Nation's Heroes

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Las Vegas, NV - August 7, 2024 - The Victory Bridge Foundation, in collaboration with Ian Bohen of "Yellowstone" and the MMC’89 Initiative, is pleased to announce the inaugural Golden Victor Awards. These awards celebrate individuals and organizations that have shown exceptional dedication and support for veterans, first responders, and their families.

The Golden Victor Awards honor organizations that exceed expectations in their efforts to enhance the lives of those who have served and protected our communities. These awards highlight outstanding veteran and first responder advocacy and showcase innovative programs, remarkable acts of kindness, and exceptional support. More than just recognizing excellence, the awards directly address the need for collaboration in mental health and wellness, particularly for PTSD and mental health challenges. The Golden Victor Awards serve as a pivotal platform for fostering partnerships and initiatives to actively tackle these pressing issues.

"We are thrilled to announce the Golden Victor Awards as a way of recognizing the extraordinary efforts to support our veterans and first responders," said Katie Katz, Founder of the Victory Bridge Foundation. "These individuals and organizations embody the values of service and sacrifice. We are honored to acknowledge their contributions and establish a central platform for our nation to begin collaborating and building the community necessary to address the mental health crisis in America."

Nominees will be announced this week in the following categories:

  • Leadership: Applauds the trailblazers and visionaries who advocate tirelessly through their exceptional leadership for the well-being of our heroes.

  • Mental Health & Wellness: Celebrates the champions of tailored wellness through holistic programs crafted specifically for our veterans, first responders, and their families.

  • Unsung Heroes: Recognizes the organizations whose unwavering support uplifts the families of our heroes, strengthening the very fabric of our communities.

  • Patriot Partner: Honors the steadfast allies–the businesses, organizations, and influencers whose dedication knows no bounds. Their partnership is a beacon of hope, contributing to the well-being and empowerment of our heroes and their families.

A panel of judges, including veterans, first responders, and leading members of the community, will ultimately vote for the winners of each category.

The Golden Victor Awards ceremony will take place on October 26, 2024, at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa, Las Vegas, NV, featuring a VIP meet and greet reception the night prior, followed by a pre-awards dinner with entertainment and special guests, and concluding with an afterparty.

Funds raised from the Golden Victor Awards will go directly to the Victory Bridge Foundation’s Resilience & Recovery Community Club and to its physical Wellness club for veterans, first responders & their families, with an expected opening date in 2025.
